1. Sickness and suffering were not God's original will.

2. God promises to be with us when things are bad.

3. We shouldn't waste our suffering.

4. God wants us to be well physically and mentally.

5. Why does God not answer every prayer for healing. a. Sometimes He wants to grow our faith.

b. God is doing something different deep in our souls. c. Some sickness is a result of sin.

6. So... How should we then live? a. Practice the biblical ethic of lament. Ps 13, 44, 77, 80 b. Express gratitude for His faithfulness. c. Trust God for every day.
