Spiritual growth thrives where there is increasing joy, purposed connection, a true sense of identity, & real community.

Joy
Joy has been described as the calm delight we sense when we see in another’s eyes that they are glad to be with us. We know through the Bible that Jesus feels this way toward us. We experience this truth with each other.

Connection
If my joy is overflowing today, who will I try to connect with?
If I am struggling in joy today, who will I let connect with me?
smile • make eye contact • sit in a new spot • greet someone new • listen to a new part of someone’s story • share a part of your story • celebrate with someone • grieve with someone • pray with someone

Identity
How is being here today helping me discover a deeper understanding of the 3 essential questions?
As someone created by God:
Who am I?
Why am I here?
Where do I belong?
As followers of Jesus:
Who are we?
What is our calling & purpose?
What kind of people are we?

Community
Authentic community is built at the intersection of our life history & the current values of “our people.” Authentic community is lived out in the tension of grace & truth, found only in step with Jesus.
We love & listen first, ask tough questions, discuss real issues, never condemn, commit to mutual accountability, give & receive correction with humility (& permission), walk in forgiveness, check in, & never give up.

God reveals himself to us through the silent word (Creation), the living Word (Jesus), the written word (Bible), & the spoken word (Church).

Today’s scripture?
Questions to ask of Jesus…
What do You want me to know?
How can the Gospel help me make sense of this?
(1 Corinthians 15:3)
(1 Corinthians 15:3)
Where does this connect with my story right now?
What do You want to change in me?
What do You want me to do?
What do you want me to discuss with others?
Questions You’ve answered? Questions I still have?
