Radical Response
Locations & Times
Bethany Church
6601 Alderson St, Weston, WI 54476, USA
Sunday 8:00 AM
A great work life starts with understanding who we are in Christ. Considering that, we can be who we are designed to be.
Why work is so hard:
-Bosses
-Workingconditions
-We are being re-wired
Radical response to make work great:
1. Remember who we are (1 Peter 2:9-10)
2. Remember Christ is our real boss (1 Peter 2:18-19)
a. The Command: Choose to submit
b. God knows we will have good bosses, and bad bosses
c. Submit with all respect
d. Commendable: bear up because we are conscious of God
(1 Peter 2:19)
e. Work for Christ with all your strength (Colossians 3:23-24)
3. Submit to leadership for Christ’s sake (1 Peter 2:20-25)
a. To endure is our goal
b. To this we are called
c. Submit because of the example of Jesus (1 Peter 2:21-24)
d. Suffering brings a good result
Next Steps:
1. Remember God chose you
2. Work as if it is for Christ
3. Submit to leadership for Christ’s sake
