Business Congregational Meeting
If you consider North Main your home church we invite you to attend our Annual Congregational Business Meeting. It is coming up on August 3rd and will start directly after the Sunday Morning Service. It should last about an hour. Anyone who has been coming regularly for at least 6 months is eligible to vote on any motions discussed.
COMMUNION
We will be celebrating communion together this morning during worship. The ushers will distribute the elements at that time, but for those who need a gluten-free or sealed option, those are available at the Welcome Center right outside of the doors you came in today. If you're joining us from home, any drink and a cracker will work! It's the heart behind it that counts.

Read 2 Peter 3:1-18.
The key point for this week’s message is:“The certainty of the LORD’s return inspires us to live lives of holiness and godliness.”Do you agree with this statement? Why, or why not?
What did Peter say was the purpose of this second letter (verses 1-2)?Again, he mentions the prophets of GOD from the Old Testament. How did their prophecies confirm the truth of Jesus Christ as LORD and GOD?
In the first century after the church began to grow, many of the first-generation Christians were beginning to die off through martyrdom or natural causes. This was a concern because Jesus had not returned as He promised He would. What does Peter have to say to the early church concerning this (verses3-10)?
Have you ever gotten frustrated or concerned that GOD has forgotten His promises, like some in the early church had?Explain...
In this chapter, Peter also talks about the destruction of everything by fire, and the coming of the new heavens and new earth that GOD has promised.Does this picture of destruction and renewal scare you or give you hope?Explain...
Peter says that it’s GOD’s patience that gives people time to be saved. This is why He is waiting. Why is this important for us to understand, and what should we be doing before He returns?
Peter declares that in light of GOD’s final judgment, we should live godly lives, and be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in GOD’s sight. How are we to live godly, peaceful, pure, and blameless lives?Where do we start, and how do we continue?
