Why Did God Give Us This Commandment?
1. Because there are no perfect parents.
2. Because when you honor your parents, you honor God.
3. Because a strong family is the basic building block of an orderly world. How I relate to my family will affect every other relationship in my life.
4. Because He wants you to have the best possible life.

How Can I Honor My Parents?
1. As a child, I honor my parents by obeying and respecting them.

2. As a young adult, I honor my parents by accepting and appreciating them.

Accepting your parents means:
- Realizing that God used them to bring me into the world.
- Listening to what they have to say. (Proverbs 23:22)
- Forgiving them for the unintentional and intentional hurts.
- Remembering everything they did for you. At the very least you can appreciate their effort and their sacrifice.

3. As an adult, I honor my parents by affirming and not abandoning them.

4. As an adult, I honor my parents by obeying Jesus.

Prayer Circles are happening this summer! This is how we’re praying for the incoming freshmen class of 2029. You can walk and pray around one of the campuses we’re reaching with a friend or join virtually if you’re out of town. Just head to our website to sign up.

We are now 82 days away from Survivor Weekend 2025! It’s where students from 24 college campuses come together and form tribes to experience a weekend of music, camping, and head-to-head competition. It’s only $175 to compete and includes your transportation, housing and tribe swag!
