1. THE VERDICT IS IN: NO CONDEMNATION
(Romans 8:1-3)
Vs 1 - No condemnation
Vs 2 - The Spirit set you free.
Vs 3 - God sent Jesus to to deal with sin and fulfill the law.
2. THE SPIRIT MOVES IN: POWER TO ACTUALLY LIVE
(Romans 8:4-14)
Vs 4 - Law fulfilled.
Vs 5 - Reset your life by setting mind on Spirit.
Vs 6 - Flesh = Death; Spirit = Life
Vs 7-8 - Flesh = hostile to God, can’t submit to God, cannot please God.

Vs 9 - You are different, you have Spirit.
Vs 10 - If Christ is in you… body dead — Spirit life.
Vs 11 - If Spirit dwells in your, you get life.
Vs 12- We owe the flesh (sin) nothing.
Vs 13 - Live by Spirit and put sin to death BY THE SPIRIT.
Vs 14 - Spirit life means you are an heir. You inherit Kingdom.
3. THE CRY OF THE CHILD: ASSURANCE
(Romans 8:15-17)
Vs 15 - You are no longer slaves living in fear; You are a son; Cry Abba!
Vs 16 - The Spirit confirms this. He is your confirmation code.
Vs 17 - An heir will experience what Jesus experiences. Faith, suffering, glory!
4. THE GROANING: SUFFERING IS NOT THE END
(Romans 8:18-27)
Vs 18 - Suffering is temporary, something great is coming.
Vs 19-22 - Creation is waiting on us. Groaning.
Vs 23 - Those who have tasted the Spirit are waiting for adoption day to reach move in day.
Vs 24-25 - Live in this hope and wait patiently.
Vs 26 - Spirit will help us in our weakness during this phase of waiting. Interceding.
Vs 27 - He searches us and translates our heart to God.
5. THE UNBREAKABLE CHAIN
(Romans 8:28-30)
Vs 28 - All things work together for good.
Vs 29-30 How? The chain of salvation: Foreknew to Predestined to Called to Justified to Glorified.
6. THE ETERNAL LOVE: NOTHING CAN SEPARATE
(Romans 8:31-39)
Vs 31 - No one can be against us!
Vs 32 - Jesus’ death proves that God will do anything.
Vs 33-34 - No one is left to bring a charge against us or condemn us.
Vs 35-36 - Nothing can separate us from the LOVE OF CHRIST no matter how hard life hits.
Vs 37 - We are MORE than conquerers.
Vs 38-29 - Absolutely nothing has the ability or power to separate us from the love of God IN CHRSIT JESUS OUR LORD!
7. CONCLUSION: THE GOSPEL IS VICTORY, NOT ADVICE
Romans 8 doesn’t tell you how to climb to God. It declares that Jesus already carried you to the summit.
Legalism says: "Do more. Try harder. Hope you make it."
The Gospel says: "It is finished. You are held. Walk in freedom."
DO SOMETHING:
Preach Romans 8:1 to your heart every morning this week.
Name your groanings. Give them to God as evidence of coming glory.
Kill sin, not to earn love, but because you’re already loved.
Rest in the unbreakable chain. You are secure.
