Who was Asaph?
-Part of the Levite tribe, known as a musician.
-Appointed to be part of the musical procession as the Ark of the Lord was delivered back to Jerusalem.
-Later King David appointed him as chief minister (like a lead worship musician) so that continued praise and thanks to God was made outside where the Ark of the Lord was set.
He also shared in a bit of a prophetic style as recorded in the 12 Psalms he wrote.
Psalm 77:1-15,19-20:mon

1. Doubt is not the opposite of the faith journey; it’s a part of it. (v.1-10)
Doubt should not be something we fear / avoid / deny, but something we accept as part of the process of having a growing and deepening faith.
2. God is still great even when life isn’t. (v.11-15)
BIG Questions: Can we trust God when we can’t trace him?
Can we trust God in the dark when we can’t see what he’s doing?
3. Key truths to remember:
a. In my circumstance, I remember God’s goodness.
b. In my circumstance, I remember God’s intention.
V. 19: “…a pathway no one knew was there…you led your people like a flock of sheep”
-We learn from past that God’s path forward may not be obviousbut there is a path.
-We also learn he leads his people like a flock of sheep = care, provision, protection, right intention
Remember:
“I may not always get it, but I know who’s always got it”
