Kingdom-focused families will strive to practice biblical forgiveness in the home and in their realm of relationships.
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12, NKJV)
“Forgive means to give up resentment against or the desire to punish (an offense or offender); to cancel a debt.”
Rick Warren:
“Real forgiveness is unconditional. There is no attachment to it. We don’t earn it. We don’t deserve it. You don’t bargain for it. Forgiveness is not based on a promise to never do it again. It is just unconditional. You offer it to somebody whether they ask for it or not.”

Caution: When we fail to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us, we open the door to allow bitterness and resentment to dwell within our heart.
Kingdom-focused families not only teach biblical principles in the home, they also seek to live by them
Kent Hughes:
“As Christians, we must discipline ourselves by God’s grace to forgive and forget the wrongs done to us.”

Kingdom-focused families will not allow the personal cost of forgiveness to hinder their obedience to God’s command and principle.
Ronnie Floyd:
“You will mess up and make mistakes. When you do, come clean, admit it, and ask their forgiveness. If something happens in your marriage in front of your children, ask them to forgive you.”
Kingdom-focused families understand that biblical forgiveness is not an option but a must.
