- We make trades all the time. The choices we make have lasting consequences.
- Helping others, not exploiting others puts good seed in the garden of our lives.

2. There is hope – people can change!

- Jacob becomes Israel.
- The transformation happens through the wrestling and the personal encounter with God.
- Jacob faces both God and Jacob. Jacob no longer is trying to be Esau.

3. Forgiveness and reconciliation are the remedy for deep hurts.

- Humility helps open dialogue.
- Generosity makes space for possibilities.
- Gratitude keeps us empathetic.
