1. The Great Equalizer (Numbers 12:14-15; 2 Kings 5:14)
Leprosy was the great equalizer; regardless of whether you were a ruling official, a despised tax collector, or an ordinary citizen, if you were a leper, you were the same - a Leper.
In ancient times, leprosy was often interpreted as a physical affliction caused by moral transgressions, such as gossip.

2. Two Birds, Cedar Wood, Scarlet, and Hyssop (the process of cleansing) (Leviticus 14:1-7, 17-18)
Symbolism
Two birds = Christ
Wood = cross
Scarlet = the blood
Water = word & spirit
Hyssop = sacrifice
Leper = me

3. Are You the One? (Luke 17:11-19)
Nine lepers went to the priest. One came back as a priest, offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord (Amos 4:5).
All ten lepers were healed—but only the one who gave thanks was made whole. That is, he was saved spiritually as well as healed physically. Jesus notices those who come back to say, “Thank you.” In fact, according to Malachi 3:16, the things we say concerning what the Lord has done for us, how He has blessed us, and His faithfulness to us are written in a book of remembrance, and Malachi 3:17, says that we shall be His and He will spare us.
