1. Faith born out of DESPERATION.

A. We must to abandon the idea of being SELF-MADE and embrace the SELF-DENIAL that comes with being at the feet of Jesus.

B. Weak faith in a strong SAVIOR will always be superior to strong faith in a weak IDEA.

2. Faith born out of DISCOMFORT.

A. It’s not the STRENGTH of your faith but the OBJECT of your faith that saves you.

B. We may think we need Christ to heal our SITUATION, He knows we really need Him to heal our SOUL.

3. Faith born out of TRUST.

A. The desire to hurry God to a solution says more about our IMPATIENCE than it does His POWER.

“Believe”: to KEEP believing, to hold onto faith rather than giving into despair

B. Our greatest TOOL in believing what God can do is reflecting on what He’s ALREADY done.

C. Delays teach us what INSTANT GRATIFICATION never can.

D. Surrender to God will both GIVE more to you and ASK more of you than you ever thought.
