Jesus’ inner life with the Father was his fuel for ministry.
BIG IDEA: Jesus’ intimacy with the Father was His fuel for ministry.
JESUS FILLED HIS TANK THROUGH PRAYER
o Antidote to Busyness (Had he chosen it, Jesus could have been busier than any human ever. But instead, he chooses to “waste” time with His Father.) If you’re sitting there thinking, “I’m too busy! I’m too busy!” my first response is, “Tell me about your prayer life.” Prayer is an antidote to busyness – because you are no longer on your own agenda for time, but on your Father’s (He outranks you in that conversation, He sets agenda).
o Intensity + Frequency = Intimacy (Jesus prayed intense prayers, and He prayed them often!) This true of any relationship, but it’s best seen in marriage. If the expression of love in a marriage is intense and frequent, the result is intimacy. Prayer is the same way!

JESUS FILLED HIS TANK THROUGH SOLITUDE
BIG IDEA: Jesus’ intimacy with the Father was His (and our) fuel for ministry.
