“Deadly Lies”
Acts 4: 32 - 5:11
To Be Continued | Week 9 | Ken LaMont

MARKS OF A SPIRIT FILLED LIFE:

· UNITY – Acts 4:32
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

· GENEROSITY – Acts 4:33-35
With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

An Amazing Example: Acts 4:36-37

MARKS OF A SELF FILLED LIFE:

· PRIDE – Acts 5:1

· DECEPTION - Acts 5:2

· GREED – Acts 5:3-11

JAMES 5:1-5
Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.
