God's Wrath and Justice with Josué Villatoro
God's wrath is the consequence of his judgment, and both are His attributes. God's attributes are interconnected.
“A God without wrath brought men without sin into a kingdom without judgment through the ministrations of a Christ without a cross.” - Richard Niebuhr
Part of God’s moral perfection is his perfection in judgment.
God as Judge
Genesis 18:25; Psalm 7:11; 19:9; 92:15; 97:2 ; Matthew 25:31-32; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 16:5-7
God is justice as He is love.
The wrath of God is eternal detestation of all unrighteousness--indignation against evil.
But who earns God’s wrath?
- The ungodly and wicked - Romans 1:18; 2:5-8; Colossians 3:5-6
- Rejecters of Christ and His Gospel - John 3:36
- Final enemies of God in the last days - Revelation 14:9-10a
- Jesus earned God’s wrath when He took our place - Isaiah 53:4-6,10; 2 Cor 5:21; Gal 3:13; John 1:29
Applications to meditate:
1. Our hearts should always be impacted by God‘s detestation of sin.
2. God's wrath should generate a true fear of God in our souls - Hebrews 12:28b-29
3. Our souls should praise God with passion for having delivered us from “the wrath to come” - Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11
4. The final judgment highlights our accountability and the certainty that justice will finally triumph over all evil.

MONTHLY HIGHLIGHT: Summer Trips
Youth Colorado Retreat: June 8-14
The purpose for the High School Trip to Colorado this summer is for our high schoolers to grow closer to God and each other through messages, guided personal devotional time, outdoor group activities, and much more. The students will have the opportunity to go rock climbing, paddle boarding, and hike in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Join us in praying for the hearts of these students and that the Lord would use this time away from for His glory!
Spain Mission Trip: June 25 - July 4
We are traveling to Marbella, Spain, to support our church plant, Nueva Creación (New Creation), as it continues to grow and reach the local community with the hope of Christ. Our mission is to make meaningful connections with the people of Marbella and to build bridges between them and Nueva Creación, creating opportunities for lasting relationships and spiritual transformation through the love and truth of the Gospel.
Prayer requests:
For God working in the hearts of those we’ll connect with in Marbella
For courage and wisdom as we connect and share the Gospel
For the safety of the team
