What does it look like to live set apart? A holy nation (Set Apart)
The changing of their names was an attempt by the enemy to cause these men to lose their identity and rob them of their purpose.
What are the Kings (Principalities) of this world trying to feed you?
Daniel/Belteshazzar:
Daniel: “God is my Judge”
Belteshazzar: “Bel Protect the King” “Bel is my treasure and my provision”
This world wants you to think that your treasure is found in what it has to offer.
Hananiah/Shadrach:
Hananiah: God has Favored
Shadrach: Royal, Great, and Brilliant Scribe
A strong spirit over our world is one that says : “I am royal, I’m great and I’m brilliant...I am where I am because of who I am.”
It’s better to have God’s favor than anything.
"For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield." Psalm 5:12
Mishael/Meshach:
Mishael: Who compares to God
Meshach: Guest of the King
I might be a guest of the king, but who compares to God.
I’d rather be a CHILD of the King than a GUEST of a king any day.
Azariah/Abednego:
Azariah: Jehovah has helped
Abednego: Servant of Nebo
Nebo was the Babylonion God of Wisdom and Agriculture (mind and science).
It was like they were trying to indoctrinate Azariah to believe that Nebo is what he needed.
It’s not the wisdom of this world that will help you. Jehovah is your help and you need him.
These are the kind of people that change a room and in doing so change a realm.
