Prayer and Praise

Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep." Take a moment to let us know how we can rejoice with you or bring a need before God with you.

Matthew 6:9-13

9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Discussion Questions

1. “Our Father in heaven.” When you think of God the Father do you think of him as close or far away? How does your view of God the Father shape how you pray?

2. “Hallowed be your name” In what ways have those around you influenced how you use God’s name? Think of both positive and negative examples.

3. “Give us this day our daily bread” As you go about your day, how do you (or could you) ask for God’s help with the everyday things of life?

4. “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors? How does being forgiven by God shape us as a church family?
