We worship a greater God, who has called us to greater things, and there is nothing greater than that.
God is greater.
The satisfaction He provides is greater.
The hope He offers is greater.
The satisfaction He provides is greater.
The hope He offers is greater.
Pursue the greater God with greater passion.
Small Group Discussion Questions
1. What/who is your GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)? And why? (i.e. greatest athlete, actor, song, cereal, candy bar, energy drink, etc.)
2. Read 1 John 4:4 and answer the following questions:
• What stands out to you in this verse and why?
• What do you think it means to belong to God and why do you think John refers to us as “little children”?
• In what ways have we overcome or won a victory over people in this world who are opposed to Jesus?
• What “spirit” lives in this world?
3. Read 1 John 2:15-17 and answer the following questions:
• What stands out to you in these verses and why?
• Which of the three categories listed in verse 16 do you find most challenging? What is an example of something that would fit into that category?
• Why is it important for us to remember that this world is “fading away” or “passing away”?
• According to John, how do the temporary pleasures of this world compare with the things of God?
4. Pursue the greater God with greater passion. What does passion mean to you? What is something that you can do this week to live this statement out?
