Psalm 22

Psalm 22
Pastor Nate Herrlin
“No known incident in the life of David fits the details of this psalm. The expressions describe an execution, not an illness; yet that execution is more appropriate to Jesus’ crucifixion than David’s experience.”

The “Yet” Bridge
“Yet” becomes the bridge between David’s painful circumstances and his trustworthy God.
“Yet” is the place in the journey where pain & belief coexist. Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy, p59
“Yet” becomes the bridge that can carry us from the “WHY” to the “WHO”.

What is your “Yet” Bridge?
Build it out of God’s character & His promises.

ASK FOR HELP
Next Steps:
- In what way do you need God to answer you? What is your “ASK”? Talk to God about it in detail.
- Practice building your “yet” bridge:
Journal about your pain (the “WHY?”)
Then journal some more about what you know about God (the “WHO?”)
- “I need to put my trust in Jesus. I need Him to be my soul anchor.” (Please talk to someone here about that before you leave today.)
