HEALTH MINISTRIES
April is National Minority Health Month!
This month is dedicated to raising awareness about the urgent need to reduce health disparities and improve the well-being of diverse communities. The 2025 theme, "Advancing Commitments to Eliminate Health Disparities," calls on individuals, organizations, and communities to unite in efforts to create healthier futures for all.
Health disparities—often shaped by social determinants such as access to care, environmental factors, and economic stability—can lead to unequal health outcomes across racial and ethnic groups. These challenges are not rooted in biology but in systemic barriers that must be addressed.
Key areas of concern include:
• Higher Prevalence of Chronic Conditions
• Limited Access to Quality Healthcare
• Cultural and Language Barriers
• Underrepresentation in Clinical Research
• Exposure to Environmental Hazards
Let’s work together to advance equity in health care and create lasting change.
