Faith is fundamentally a spiritual matter.

Faith comes by the Word of God.
Sermon Discussion
Applying God’s Word through Journey Groups, family devotions, or personal meditation:

Opener
1. When have you felt left out, or missed something important? How did that affect you?

Recap
2. Read John 20:24-31. What stood out to you most from the sermon? Was there a particular verse or point that resonated with you?

3. How do you handle doubts about God? (engage them, ignore them, suppress them…?)

4. What is the difference between doubt and unbelief?

5. Has God ever used your doubts to strengthen your faith? Explain.

6. What is significant about Thomas’s confession, “My Lord and my God!”?

Digging Deeper—Read 1 Peter 1:8-9.
7. What do you think Peter means when he says that the “outcome of your faith” is the “salvation of your souls”?

8. How can we love God and find joy in Him even when we can’t see Him?

Application
9. How are you encouraged or convicted by John 20:24-31 and 1 Peter 1:8-9?

10. How might you be a source of grace for someone in your life struggling with doubts?
