https://cogmj.churchcenter.com/people/forms/1210051. Why is the resurrection of Jesus essential to our faith? Read 1 Corinthians 15:14-15. Paul emphasizes that without the resurrection, our preaching and faith are in vain. Why is the resurrection the cornerstone of Christianity, and what does it mean for our everyday lives?
Application: Anchor your confidence in the living Christ. When doubts arise or culture questions your beliefs, remember your faith rests on a Risen Savior, not a religious theory. Start each day by declaring: "Because He lives, I can face today."
2. How does God bring Sunday breakthroughs out of Friday trials? Reflect on the Fall (Gen 3), the Red Sea (Exodus 14), Daniel (Daniel 6), and the Hebrew Boys (Daniel 3). In each of these stories, God's people faced impossible, painful, or hopeless moments - yet God moved powerfully. How have you seen God work in your own 'Friday' moments? Application: Don't quit in the middle of the story. When life feels stuck in Friday, speak by faith: 'My King has one more move." Journal one way you see God at work behind the scenes even when you don't yet see the outcome.
3. How does the resurrection give us hope in life's hardest places? Read Romans 8:11 and Luke 24:1-6. Even after the resurrection, believers still face suffering, loss, and pain. How does the resurrection empower you to live with hope, not just on Easter Sunday but in everyday struggles? Application: Live with resurrection hope in the hard places. When you face a trial this week, instead of asking, "Why me?" ask, "Where is Jesus with me in this?" Make space for His presence to speak peace in the storm.
4. What does it mean to surrender both the Fridays and Sundays of life to God? Read Revelation 21:1-5 and John 19:30. God is sovereign over both suffering and celebration. Why is it important to surrender to His plan, whether you're in a painful season or a victorious one? Application: Pray a prayer of surrender today. Whether you're walking through sorrow or success, lay it all at His feet. Say, "Lord, I trust You in the process. Use both my pain and my praise for Your glory."
