Easter Sunday: Choose Life!

Easter Sunday: Choose Life!

This Easter season we celebrate the resurrection of the Son of God! Resurrection matters for us as individuals and for all of creation, because with it comes the promise and the foretaste of the New Creation toward which God is taking all things. With it comes the possibility of Resurrection Life in the here and now, as well as in the hereafter. Resurrection matters!

Choose Life!
Easter Sunday
Pastor Stacey Littlefield
Question to Ponder.
If you have one, what is your favorite Easter memory? If you don't have a favorite, what are some things that you remember about Easter when you were growing up?
Question to Ponder.
In the sermon, the rolling away of the stone from Jesus' tomb is mentioned as a metaphor for overcoming obstacles. Can you relate to a moment in your life where a seemingly insurmountable obstacle was suddenly removed or resolved?
Question to Ponder.
The sermon mentions that eternal life in Christ begins in the present, rather than just being a future promise. How does this concept influence the way you live your daily life?
Question to Ponder.
Reflecting on the passage from Deuteronomy 30, what does "choosing life" mean to you in the context of both your spiritual beliefs and everyday decisions?
Easter Sunday
Almighty God, who through your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord's resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
