“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11) [ESV]

Happiness = a fleeting emotion based on external circumstance.
Felicidad = una emoción fugaz basada en circunstancias externas.

Joy = is based on internal well-being or the anticipation of well-being.
Gozo = se basa en el bienestar interior o en la expectativa de bienestar.

Joy is proof that His life in us is real!
¡El gozo es prueba de que Su vida en nosotros es real!

• Where is that kind of joy found?
• ¿Dónde se encuentra ese tipo de gozo?
“… that my joy …” (v. 11b)
“…mi gozo…” (v.11b)

• Can that kind of joy last?
• ¿Puede durar ese tipo de alegría?
“… may be in you …” (v. 11b)
“…esté en ustedes…” (v.11b)

Joy is the evidence of God in your life!
¡El gozo es la evidencia de Dios en tu vida!

• Can we experience joy in heartache?
• ¡La alegría es la evidencia de Dios en tu vida!
“… and that your joy may be full.” (v. 11c)

“Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.’” (Nehemiah 8:10)
