I'm Doing Fine - Carlo Casaleggio

I'm Doing Fine - Carlo Casaleggio

As we journey toward Easter, this message encourages us to pause and reflect honestly on our spiritual health. While we may say, “I’m doing fine,” Jesus invites us to take a closer look at our hearts. In this passage from John 13, he gives us a powerful spiritual check-up with three marks of true discipleship.

1. A desire to glorify God

- Jesus knew the cross was just hours away, yet He spoke of glory—not fame, but the kind of honour that reveals God's heart.
- True disciples live with the aim of glorifying God in all things—how we speak, act, serve, and endure.
- It means pointing people to the goodness, love, and mercy of the Father through our everyday lives.
2. An unfailing love for one another

- Jesus said the clearest sign that we belong to Him is how we love one another—not selectively, but as He loved us: sacrificially, patiently, and unconditionally.
- This love is visible, practical, and persistent. It shows up in kindness, forgiveness, support, and care—especially when it's not easy. It’s love that draws others to Jesus.
3. An unswerving loyalty to Jesus

- Peter claimed he would lay down his life for Jesus—but when the pressure came, he denied Him three times.
- Loyalty is more than words—it’s staying close to Jesus in both the easy and difficult moments.
- True discipleship means following Him closely, not at a distance, and choosing Him daily, even when it's uncomfortable or costly.
Reflective Questions:

1. Am I living in a way that brings honour to God?
2. Does my love for others reflect the love of Christ?
3. Am I following Jesus closely, or from a distance?
Remember:

Discipleship isn’t about perfection, but about purpose. It’s about a heart that says, “Lord, I want to glorify You, love like You, and follow You with all that I am.” And the good news is—Jesus doesn’t give up on those who stumble. He restores, redeems, and calls us back to walk with Him again.
