Go and Risk!
Mark 6:7-13

Jesus modeled for the disciples what taking a risk for His mission looked like from the moment He called them.

Jesus sends them out with AUTHORITY and specific instructions: go two by two, travel light, proclaim repentance to everyone, cast out demons and pray for the sick and whoever rejects you don’t engage and move on!

Despite all that was at RISK… Jesus called simple men like the disciples and made them apostles (sent ones) for a mission much greater than themselves.

Jesus commands us to GO and RISK, it requires that we put our faith and trust in His word and not on logical and calculated risk.

Jesus is calling us to GO and take risk for the Kingdom today because eternity is on the balance for many!

George O. Wood writes: “There is often a gap in Christian ministry and life between the authority to do something and the implementation of that authority. Authority must be exercised, or it remains latent. The Holy Spirit is given that the life, teaching, and power of Jesus may be exercised through us, His people.

Without the Holy Spirit’s power and authority there can be NO transformation in our lives and the lives of those we are sent to.

Salvation Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for drawing me to Yourself from my darkness, my sin, and my shame. I repent of my sins, and I ask You to forgive me. I welcome You into my heart, and I surrender my future into Your hands. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, and help me to be a reflector of Your light to those around me. Thank You for including me in Your family. Amen
