We know money isn’t the meaning to life, yet it’s hard to figure out exactly the right kind of attitude to have about money. How do you balance the desire for money and not fall into the pitfalls of money? For the next four weeks we’re going to listen to what Jesus taught about money so that we maximize its good and avoid its bad for our lives.

Scripture: Luke 12:13-21
We all have EXTRA. We’re so accustomed to EXTRA that we don’t even think of it as EXTRA.
We think of it as ESSENTIAL.
The rich man was a fool because…
1. He fell for FEELING rich without BEING rich
2. He assumed all his EXTRA was for him
How to Be Rich Toward God
1. Don’t worry about having enough. (Luke 12:22-31)
2. Trust God to take care of you. (Luke 12:31-32)
3. Use your EXTRA to be generous toward others. (Luke 12:33-34)
Two Month Challenge
1. Choose a percentage of your income
2. Give it away as soon as you are paid
3. Pay attention to the internal tension this creates in you. What is at the center of your
resistance?
