Here Comes The Sun and More Evidence of Design
Series: In the Beginning God When we look at the incredible design of creation, it speaks of a Designer. Let’s review the 3rd through 5th days of creation. God is preparing everything for the creation of Mankind. It reminds us of Jesus words in John 14: "I go to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. “ Are you ready? Let’s Go!!

God can create something out of nothing, and He can transform something into something else.
1. Biogenesis the production of life from life.
2. Ex nihilo, God’s forming something supernaturally out of nothing (Genesis 1:1).

Genesis 1 gives me confidence and hope that no situation in my life is impossible for God.
I’m not able but He is able
He can change my situation in a nano-second
My story isn’t finished being written
He is God Almighty

1. "According to its kind” is used 10 times in Genesis 1
i. God allows variation within a kind, but something of one kind will never develop into something of another kind.
2. And God saw that it was good: Pleasing, useful. X7 in Genesis 1
i. God defines what is good. And what is not good.
ii He is the basis for Moral Law
Proverbs 19:7. The law of the Lord is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
His Commands are all tied to His character
He is not a vague moral neutral. He knows what is good and organizes His creation to result in something good.

“According to Darwin, 'He said so you know it's really not the outworking of a good loving God, it's just the outworking of the selfish self-expression of one creature at the expense of another. So there isn't even really any goodness that you can actually see in nature itself. ICR President Dr. Randy Gulizza
1. These heavenly bodies were to serve as signs for seasons and days and years (v. 14).
2. God knew exactly how far to set the sun from the earth. A few million miles more or less and life as we know it would be impossible.
3. God arranged the stars into recognizable groups that we call constellations.

The sequence of the zodiac is the same in every language and culture, even if the specific names of the constellations change.
This points to a common, pre-tower-of-Babel beginning for all these things

Astrology is the “interpretation” of a so-called influence the stars (and planets) exert on human destiny.
i. It is seeking the stars for meaning rather than the creator of the stars.

Darwin’s strongest opponents were not clergymen, but fossil experts. Darwin admitted the state of the fossil evidence was “the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory,” and because of the fossil evidence, “all the most eminent paleontologists… and all our greatest geologists… have unanimously, often vehemently, maintained” that the species do not change.
Microevolution does not prove macroevolution.
The Bighorn Basin in Wyoming contains a continuous record of fossil deposits for what geologists say is 5 million years. Because this record is so complete, paleontologists assumed a positive trail of evolution could be found. Instead, “the fossil record does not convincingly document a single transition from one species to another” (Johnson).
Evolutionist Nile Eldredge wrote: “We paleontologists have said that the history of life [in the fossil record] supports [the story of gradual evolution], all the while knowing that it does not” (Johnson).
