Worship Gathering - The Kingdom
Focus this Sunday:
This Sunday we begin a new sermon series called The Kingdom. This series aims to highlight what Jesus meant by the phrase “kingdom of heaven” or “kingdom of God,” and what our role in it is as Christians. We'll be looking at the Lent Question: "What do I need to do in my life to be better prepared to live under a King?" Let's discover what God has for us in this.
Join us Sunday at 10:15am either onsite or online! The link to the online service is on our website at (www.caspernazarene.com) and click on the Link to the Service.
Reflection Questions: (Privately or invite a few friends to discuss!)
1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. Looking at Matthew 7:13-27, how is the illustration of the gates connected to the illustration of the men who built their houses on different foundations?
3. What do you think Jesus is revealing about the heart of God in this passage?
4. How can we balance this passage with a grace-based (and not works based) understanding of salvation?
5. Is there any “fruit” in your life that should not belong to someone who is pursuing God’s kingdom? What do you sense God wants you to do about that?
6. How can we encourage and pray for each other in this?
