RESURRECTION LIFE:
Topic:

Victory
--MESSAGE--

The Power of the Resurrection
Let’s explore how Christ’s Resurrection impacts our lives. His Resurrection is proof of our victory over sin and death, the same power that raised Christ from the grave is at work in us, and we can dominate life with confidence and authority in Christ.
Opening text:
Foundation text:
Two keys:
a. The eyes of your understanding.
"Understanding eyes” refers to spiritual understanding. To describe this, Paul uses words that picture the heart looking out with eyes brightened with divine illumination.
b. Hope of His calling.
A Christian may hope for many things, but there is one hope that all Christians have in common: the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him, we find true hope and true riches.
Key Points:
1. The Resurrection is proof of Christ’s victory over sin and death.
2. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us.
3. Resurrection life means living with confidence and authority in Christ.
Application: How can we access and live in Resurrection power daily?
1. Pray
2. Study
3. Obey/Act on it
4. Repeat
Four Keys to experiencing the power of the Resurrection:

a. Know Him.
Knowing Him is beyond an intellectual understanding but a more intimate knowledge of Christ.
b. Power of His Resurrection.
Paul does not say the power “in” His Resurrection, which would specify the power of the one-time event of His Resurrection. Instead, Paul seeks the ongoing power that is the day-to-day experience of being in Christ.
c. Fellowship of His sufferings.
Paul sees the value of participating in the persecutions or struggles that naturally accompany one in partnership (fellowship) with Christ and His sufferings.
d. Being conformed to His death.
Paul desires to imitate Christ, even in His death. In other words, Paul wants to be completely obedient to God the Father, just as Jesus was obedient to His Father’s will.
How can we access and live in Resurrection power daily?
