MONDAY: Discovering Joy
Reading: Philippians 3:1-3
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your safeguards in my life. Thank You for Your patience with me as You give me gentle reminders of Your love. You remind me the work Your Son has done is complete and my task is to accept Your promises and put my faith in You. Thank You for Your Spirit which fills me and equips me to serve You. My confidence is in the work Jesus has done for me. Please help me to trust in You more each day.
Reading: Philippians 3:1-3

Reading: Philippians 3:4-7
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for all You've done for me. I tend to over complicate things and try to rely on myself and my abilities instead of Your ways and Your promises. All of my talents and experience do not compare with the joy and peace which comes from knowing Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for being in my life. Please help me to keep my trust in You and not in anything I am doing.
Reading: Philippians 3:4-7

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the righteousness which comes from You. Thank You that I can be made righteous as I put my faith in You. Please show me the places and things I am holding onto instead of You. Help me Lord to let go of all those things which I let come between You and me. I want to be found in the place where knowing You is my greatest desire. Teach me, Lord, how to rest my faith solely in Christ.
Reading: Philippians 3:8-11
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the righteousness which comes from You. Thank You that I can be made righteous as I put my faith in You. Because of Your love, oh Lord, and You taking the first steps I am able to respond. I have a hope and a joy found in Jesus that one day I can be awarded the prize of heaven.

Help me Lord to have compassion and patience for others who are still early in their journey of faith. Because of You, Lord, I can look forward to the day I am given a glorious body through the power of Jesus Christ.
