El Elyon - The Most High God
Tonight we begin a new series, What’s in a Name?, exploring some of the Hebrew names of God. Knowing these names of God helps us better understand how to relate to Him, as well as how we can experience His activity in our lives. Our God, El Elyon (which means “the Most High God”), far surpasses all other spiritual beings. While there are other ancient deities, the Most High God is unlike every other god, standing above them all. His nature, His character, and His purposes are all motivated by His great love for all the world He created.
