Sermon Title: Let's Recognize God at Work and What's at Stake

Sermon Text: Acts 16:1-40

Preparation Question: What do the words of 2 Corinthians 2:14 and 3:18 teach us about what God is doing in our lives as we trust Him?

Three encouraging reminders of God's providence, plans, and power in all of our circumstances:

1. God leads us to the right people at just the right time. (v. 1-15)

2. God leads us from glory to glory even when life seems gloomy and gory. (v. 6-10, 16-34)

3. God will eventually vindicate and exalt all who trust Him. (v. 35-40)

1. Is there a time in your life where you had a seemingly coincidental interaction with someone but realized later it was actually a divine appointment?
2. How have you seen God do good things out of a difficult situation?
3. How is God's divine providence seen in Paul and Silas' encounters with Timothy, Lydia, and the Philippian jailor in Acts 16?
4. Why is it still difficult to wait through difficult times when we know God is doing good and will eventually right all wrongs? How do we maintain and even grow our faith in Jesus during those difficult times?
5. Who might God be calling you to have a Holy Spirit-appointed interaction with this week?
