Welcome to Worship! We are so glad that you have joined us. If "The Way In" is offered to all, what is standing in the way and keeping so many people from entering the Kingdom of God and having eternal life? Join us as Pastor Bruce Mayhew continues with his series of messages based on Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. We begin with a time of worship through singing uplifting and encouraging songs together before the Lord and actively listen and learn to understand and apply God's word. Life groups and JaM (for kids) follow the service at 11:30 am. THE WAY IN IS JESUS. HE IS THE WORD, THE LIGHT, THE LAMB, THE SON. HE IS THE WAY INTO ETERNAL LIFE.

BUT FOR MANY THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE WAY.
REJECTION OF THE LIGHT, JESUS, SHOWS THAT ONES DEEDS, EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY APPEAR RIGHTEOUS ARE EVIL.
EVEN DEEDS WE WOULD CONSIDER GOOD ARE BAD.
GOOD DEEDS ARE DEEDS DONE IN GOD.
Those who were doing good works, but not in a faith relationship with God and his truth are in the end still unrighteous. Why?
Because when they come to the light, Jesus—the truth, it will be revealed that they are not living and acting out of a relationship with God.
"in God" in other translations:
NLT: they are doing what God wants
NIV: done in the sight of God
ESV: works have been carried out in God
NASB: having been wrought in God
Relationship is the key. It is through our faith in God that we receive his gift of grace. This faith is relational, and it is only in a relationship with God that we can do what is truly good.
Those who do not come to the light are practicing dead works.
