YOUR HEART IS GOOD.
How does GOD see your heart?
- New heart.
- Washed, Reborn, & Renewed by the Holy Spirit.
- New creation in Christ.
- Declared righteous.

What having a GOOD HEART does NOT mean:
1. It does NOT mean I can trust my heart above God's Word.
2. It does NOT mean I should follow my heart because it will always lead me right.
3. It does NOT mean I will never struggle with temptation again.
What having a GOOD HEART DOES mean:
1. It does mean I have NOT lost the battle before it even started. I CAN actually overcome temptation and sin.
2. It DOES mean God has given me a new identity which makes me good and pure and holy at my core. I no longer have to listen to or give in to my “flesh”.
3. It DOES mean I have power from God and potential as a new creation in Christ to live a life that pleases God.

My next step with God this week is to…
- Is there anything that needs to change about how I think about my heart?
- Study Romans chapters 6 & 7 (and some of the other passages we looked at today). What do these chapters teach us about the "old me" and the "new me"?
- Book recommendation: "Waking the Dead" by John Eldredge. (especially chapter 4).
