1. Christ is __________ of the Church.
2. Christ gives us _______ with God.
Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. Read Ephesians 5:25-30. How does Christ view His Church? In what way has your opinion of the church been less than Christʼs?

3. Read 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. In what way does the resurrection of Christ make Christianity unique among other religions?

4. What are some characteristics of “churches” that do not acknowledge Jesus as their head (authority)? (You can refer to your own experiences and also Jesus’ letters to the seven churches in Revelation 2-3). Conversely, what are the characteristics of a congregation fully yielded to Jesus as Head?
The glorious and comprehensive nature of our salvation in Jesus Christ is overwhelming. We’re justified, freed, and forgiven. We have been estranged from God, and now are His children. We once stood before God as enemies, and now He has made us His own. Of all of the pictures of our salvation found in the New Testament, which is most dear to you, and why?

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
