Sunday 10:00 AM

The focus of this series, Walking with Jesus, is to look at the life of Jesus as presented in the Gospels. We'll slowly and simply examine the life of the Lord, from His first movements to His last and it will be as though we were walking alongside Him.
Pastor Don started us off with Jesus INCARNATED on Earth.
Ryan shared with us how Jesus PREPARED for Ministry.
Nick covered how Jesus was COMMISSIONED by the Father.
Jeff looked at how Jesus was TEMPTED in the Wilderness.
Aaron presented about how Jesus was RECOGNIZED as the Lamb of God.
Gary explained how Jesus CALLED His First Disciples.
Today Pastor Joel is talking to us about how Jesus TURNED water into wine but also turned the disciples faith and their idea of ministry.
Background:

Jesus was just recently baptized, led into the wilderness to pray and be tempted, and began to gather His first disciples and develop them. He spends time with them, deepening their faith in Him, and modeling ministry potential to them at a wedding feast.
We're looking at John 2:1-11 today.
Jesus did more than just turn water into wine in Cana.

Jesus turned the disciples' faith in an upward trajectory.
AND
Jesus turned the disciples' idea of ministry to a broader trajectory.

Today we'll examine both and see how they impact each of us.
First we'll look at 4 specific things that will turn our faith upward just as it did for the disciples:

PRAYER
Luke 22:40, 46
EVANGELISM
2 Corinthians 5:20
GIVING
Philippians 4:19
ADVERSITY
James 1:2-4
Jesus turned the disciples' idea of ministry broader and he can do the same for us:

What you do for Christ is SIGNIFICANT
John 2:7-8
You can minister in different WAYS and PLACES
John 2:2, 9

Discussion:
What are some different ways and places Jesus ministered?
What are some unique ways and places you could potentially minister to people?
You have ministry POTENTIAL you might not realize
John 14:12
This week:

Read and pray over John 2:1-11 until you can answer three questions:
a) What did God say? (The meaning of the passage in your own words)
b) What is God saying to you? (Specifically, what is God telling you to do?)
c) What will you say about this passage to someone? (Think of one person)

How can you cooperate with God as He is turning the trajectory of your faith upward? (Prayer, Evangelism, Giving, Adversity)

What unique ministry does God want you to engage in?

How can you help others see their potential in ministry?

Annual Helping People Rummage Sale

Once again we'll have two shopping opportunities: Friday, February 21st 5:00-7:30 pm and Saturday, February 22nd 9:00 am to 11:30 pm. This is an annual event for Grace Church where you can clean out your closets and storage areas and give what you don't need or use to a good cause. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Samaritan Fund that helps our community and those in need. If you'd like to participate, there is a form to fill out (see link below). Here are a few things to keep in mind: - You will need to mark all of your items and set them up on your designated table(s) before the sale begins (anytime during the week of February 17th) - You will need to return at the end of the sale to collect any unsold items you wish to keep. Anything not picked up at Noon on Saturday will be donated to local charities. - If you don't have items to donate but still want to help out with this event, we will need a few people to work the payment table during both days of the sale as well as clean up on Saturday. You can also help us out by advertising!  What we need to know from you: Would you like a table or two? Want to help with this event? Let us know by filling out this FORM. Have questions?
