Read John 11:45-57
Just after the raising of Lazarus from the dead, word got back to the Pharisees and the leading priests about what Jesus had done.After gathering the high council together and discussing the matter, what was their greatest concern (see vv. 45-48)?
Does it surprise you that the religious leaders were more concerned about their religious traditions and structures than they were about the lives that were being changed for the better?
After Caiaphas the High Priest had time to contemplate what was going on, what was his response and solution to the “problem” of Jesus (see vv. 49-50)?
