This passage is not just about a historical event; it is a call for each of us today. Are we truly prepared for the Lord's coming?
Have we prepared our hearts for Christ?
What obstacles are in our way pride, sin, distractions?
Are we listening to the call of repentance today?
Repentance means more than just feeling guilty, it means a complete change.

John’s message was radical.
He declared that true faith is not about religious background but about a changed heart.
The people asked, “What should we do then?” (Luke 3:10, NIV).
John gave practical instructions.
To the crowds: "Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” (v. 11)
Generosity
To tax collectors: “Don’t collect any more than you are required to.” (v. 13)
Honesty
To soldiers: “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.” (v. 14) →
Integrity

John was saying
True repentance is visible in our daily lives.
Are we living lives that reflect real repentance?
Do our actions show love, generosity, and integrity?
Are we holding onto anything that contradicts our faith?

Jesus will separate those who truly follow Him from those who do not.
Standing for truth is costly.
Are we pointing people to Jesus, as John did?
Are we standing for truth, even when it is unpopular?
Are we prepared for the return of Christ?

Luke 3:1-20 calls us to respond in three ways
Repentance: True faith requires turning from sin.
Fruitfulness: Genuine repentance leads to a transformed life.
Faith in Christ: Jesus is the Savior who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire.
