Have ever been gripped by fear?
Fear is a mental process that that triggers a physical response when confronted by a threat.
Fear is a mental process that that triggers a physical response when confronted by a threat.
When you are looking through fog: It's hard to see everything clearly...so everything you see isn't everything there is.
- Fear is a good thing, but left unmanaged it will serve to manage you.
- Where does fear come from? And how can we overcome it?
- Fear can protect us, but it can also in-prison us.
Narcissists love to use fear to control people. The Devil is the greatest Narcissist there is.

What Feeds Fear:
1.Fear is Fueled by Lies
"44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies." -John 8:44 (ESV)
- The enemy plants fear by distorting truth
2.Fear Grows Through Unbelief
"But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm." -Matthew 8:26 (ESV)
- Fear puts your focus on the wrong thing.
3. Fear focuses on what others think
"The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe." Proverbs 29:25 (ESV)

How to Recognize and Resist Fear:
1.Ask: "Who Benefits?"
-Whenever fear is used to persuade you, ask: "Who gains power, money, or influence if I believe this?"
2.Seek Facts, Not Feelings
-Fear clouds judgment—step back and analyze the evidence.
3.Refuse to React
-Take time to think before acting.
4.Diversify Information Sources
-Don’t rely on just one source of information.
-Empower yourself through knowledge.

Steps to Overcoming Fear
1. Acknowledge God’s Presence
-Fear loses power when we focus on God’s presence.
"fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
2. Stand on God’s Promises
-Meditate on Scripture daily to replace fear with faith.
"3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?" Psalm 56:3-4 (ESV)
3. Remind yourself Whose your are more than what you are experiencing.
"15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15 (ESV)
4. Pray & Praise
-Fear fades in the presence of the Lord when we pray and praise.
"I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)
5. Move Forward in Faith
-Courage is not the absence of fear but obedience in the face of fear.
"9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (ESV)
