2 Cor 9:1-2, 6-15; Ex 23:15b, 19a; Matt 6:25, 33; Phi 4:9, 23; Isa 11:1-2; 2 Tim 1:6a, 7, 9
Exodus 23:25a Worship the LORD (Yahweh) your God, and He will bless your bread and your water (He will be your provision)…
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD (an act of worship), and He turned to me and heard my cry for help. 2 He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God (restoring my worship).
Proverbs 4:11 I am teaching you the way of wisdom; I am guiding you on straight paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered; when you run, you will not stumble.
Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding. 29 He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless. 30 Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, 31 but those who trust in the LORD (an act of worship) will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.
Psalm 63:1 A Davidic psalm. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah. God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. 2 So I gaze on You in the sanctuary to see Your strength and Your glory. 3 My lips will glorify You because Your faithful love is better than life. 4 So I will praise You as long as I live; at Your name, I will lift up my hands (in worship). 5 You satisfy me as with rich food; my mouth will praise You with joyful lips (my worship is joyful and brings joy). 6 When I think of You as I lie on my bed, I meditate on You during the night watches (this is also worship) 7 because You are my helper; I will rejoice in the shadow of Your wings. 8 I follow close to You; Your right hand holds on to me.
2 Corinthians 9:1 Now concerning the ministry to the saints, it is unnecessary for me to write to you. 2 For I know your eagerness, and I brag about you to the Macedonians: "Achaia has been prepared since last year," and your zeal has stirred up most of them… 6 Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.
Exodus 23:15b … No one is to appear before Me empty-handed… 19a "Bring the best of the firstfruits of your land to the house of the LORD your God…
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each person should do as he has decided in his heart-- not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver (He desires a willing, sacrificial worshiper). 8 And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work (kingdom work for His gospel).
Matthew 6:25 "This is why I tell you: Don't worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing? … 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (give Him your worship), and all these things will be provided for you.
2 Corinthians 9:9 As it is written: He scattered (seed); He gave to the poor; His righteousness endures forever. 10 Now the One who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness (your worship and mine empowering us to produce fruit for the kingdom of God). 11 You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God (leads others to worship Him) through us. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God (building a faithful following – we become worship leaders!).13 They will glorify God for your obedience(your body given over as a living sacrifice, which is your spiritual worship – [Romans 12:1]) to the confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with others through the proof provided by this service. 14 And they will have deep affection for you in their prayers on your behalf because of the surpassing grace of God in you.
Philippians 4:9 Do what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you… 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift (Jesus, salvation, gifts of the Spirit).
Isaiah 11:1 Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. 2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him-- a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
2 Timothy 1:6a Therefore, I remind you to keep ablaze the gift of God that is in you (born out of your faith & worship toward Him)7 For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment… 9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
