INTRO: The Value of the Vine
“For the Lord your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of brooks, springs, and fountains flowing forth in valleys and hills, a land of wheat, barley, grapevines, figs, and pomegranates, of olive oil and honey. Dt. 8:7-8

ANALYSIS: The Imagery of the Vine
1. Jesus is the True Vine. “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Vs 1

2. Fruitful Branches are True Christians. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.Vs 2-3
3. The Key to Fruitfulness is Pruning (Discipline/Correction) and Abiding in Jesus.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:4-8

Adopt His presence daily
for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’Acts 17:28
Be in His Word
Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1 John 3:24

Impart His Example He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:6

Depend on His Spirit. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.1 John 4:13

Eradicate Sin Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 1 John 3:6
