Why did God allow Adam to eat from any tree but that one?

Why put a choice in front of Adam that could cause death if he was disobedient?


The truth of the matter is God gives us free will; however, free will cannot be true free will if there is no choice.

There has to be a choice to disobey for us to choose to obey. There has to be a choice for us to choose to love or choose not to love. To choose to follow or not.

People are always trying to disprove what God said yet when we really get down to the simplicity of everything, we realize we can trust God at His Word!


This “is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19, Mark 10).
