9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,hallowed be your name.10 Your kingdom come,your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread,12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Matthew 6:9-1
Jesus taught us how to prayer, not with words to memorize, but with a template to focus our mind on in prayer.
1. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors (Matt 6:12)
a. We have a Holy God
b. Own our sin (no “but”) and rely on grace
c. New beginning: we grasp it, so we give it. We can grow in
forgiveness.
d. It points us to The Cross: only Christ can grant us what we need
2. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (Matt 6:13)
a. Our greatest challenge: evil/evil one (spiritual, not physical)
(1 John 2:12-17)
b. Seek to know and love The Father
c. Our reaction to trials: Anger, Despair, Hardening…
or Children of the Father
d. But if not (Daniel 3:18). God’s desire is to deliver us from evil
Next Steps:
1. Remind yourself of who God is: All-powerful, holy, gracious Father
2. Ask for forgiveness, seek to forgive
3. Reframe your need to what God says you need: deliverance
from evil

PARENT DATE NIGHT CHILDCARE: Thurs., Feb. 13, Drop off at 5PM and pick-up by 8PM. Take this opportunity to plan a much needed date together and leave the childcare to us! We would like to offer you the opportunity to spend time together, focusing on your commitment to maintain a strong family unit, by strengthening your relationship with each other.
