1. The Battle of the Mind: Flesh vs. Spirit
Colossians 3:2: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Isaiah 26:3: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
2 Corinthians 10:5: “We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”
2. The Unseen Realm
Philippians 4:4-7 - The Lord is at hand… Rejoice… be reasonable…do not be anxious… pray… be thankful… And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:18: “As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
3. Walking in the Spirit = Life
John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Galatians 5:16-17: “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”
John 6:63: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
