The Vine Church- Give
Giving gives us an opportunity to recognize that God is the Giver of every good and perfect Gift! It also allows us to fund the mission and vision of the church. Every life that is transformed by the power of Jesus Christ through The Vine is a result of your generosity. Thanks for being cheerful and generous givers!
https://app.securegive.com/TheVineTeaching Notes:
- Spiritual gifts are special abilities given to God’s people to accomplish God’s will.
- When we are uninformed about our gifts, our gifts go unused.
- Gifts are FROM God and FOR God!
- Every follower of Christ is given at least one gift.
- Spiritual gifts are given to us to give away.
Reflection Questions:
1. What is your initial reaction to the words “spiritual gifts?” Why do you think you respond that way?
2. What would happen if all Christians had a clear understanding of the gifts the Holy Spirit had selected for them? What do you think is the biggest barrier between people preventing people from understanding their spiritual gifts?
3. Why is it crucial for Christians to recognize that spiritual gifts are given to all Christians and not just the most mature Christians? How can you help other people to identify and leverage their gifts for God’s glory?
4. Have you ever shared your spiritual gift with anyone in the church? Why or why not? If you feel nervous about sharing your gift do you think that’s from God or the enemy of God?
5. What is preventing you from using your spiritual gift to build up the body of Christ? What would happen if you fully embraced the gift you have been given?
