Prison Prayers

These were prayers Paul prayed while in prison for his faith in and testimony for Christ. One of the things that you will notice as you read through these different prison prayers of Paul’s is that they all emphasized the SPIRITUAL rather than the PHYSICAL. Having first-hand knowledge of the spiritual challenges that come with being persecuted for your faith, Paul used his prayer life to pray for what he knew other followers of Christ would need when the time of persecution would come in their lives.
This prayer of Paul’s on behalf of the Ephesian believers came from a heart characterized by these three things:

1) Gratitude
2) Humility
3) Desperation
Understanding how important the inner man is to the spiritual life of every believer, Paul asks God to use the glorious riches of his resources in the lives of the Ephesian believers, in order to strengthen their inner man by way of helping them to both comprehend and know the love of Christ.

1) The security of Christ's love
2) The vastness of Christ's love
3) The influence of Christ's love
