2. True worship FLOWS from the HOLY SPIRIT working in and through us to do His will.

3. Jesus saying “true worshipers” also infers that there are those that BELIEVE they are worshipping God but their worship is FALSE.
4. God ACCEPTED Abel’s offering and REJECTED Cain’s offering.
5. Abel’s worship was ACCEPTABLE and Cain’s worship was UN-ACCEPTABLE
A few hints that the text leaves us as to why Cain’s offering wasn’t accepted
Verse 5B. His first response at His offering not being accepted was anger.
Verse 6. Cain did not listen to God’s warning or change course after being warned.
Verse 8. Cain operated in resentment and anger
Verse 8b. Cain choose to destroy what God approved of and punish Abel for his acceptable sacrifice.

6. Cain couldn’t be CORRECTED, Cain couldn’t be WARNED, and Cain refused to restrain his ANGER.

We are not saved by good works but good works are the natural progression and outflow of those who have been born of the Spirit.
9. Worshipping God is not only having good MOTIVES but allowing God to have ACCESS to your time, talents and finances to bless the world around you.
10. We have been called to be God’s CHARACTER WITNESS to the world.
11. Who do you run to when your heart is HEAVY?
My faith in God’s kindness keeps my heart towards him soft in trial and correction.
12. It is impossible to offer and ACCEPTABLE offering without FAITH
