Reasons to be together:
1) We need one other.


Proverbs 18:1, Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.


Proverbs 27:17, Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.


Hebrews 10:24,25, And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.


Hebrews 10:35,36, Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

2) We need God’s blessing.

Psalm 133:1-3, Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.


I John 1:7, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.


- Membership is not a seat at the table.
- Membership is not a status symbol.
- Membership is agreement as to the purpose and direction of the church.
- Membership is a commitment to be part of what God is doing through the church.

Acts 2:42-47, And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.


Ways to be together:
1) Study God’s Word together.
2) Cultivate friendship.
3) Eat together.
4) Pray together.
5) Support one another.


Galatians 6:2, Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
