Fundamental Truth #7: The Baptism in the Holy Spirit:
All Christians have the right to receive and should eagerly seek the promise of God the Father—the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire—as Jesus commanded. This was the normal experience in the early church. Through this baptism, believers are empowered to live for God and serve others with spiritual gifts to use in ministry. This experience is separate from and happens after being born again.
