John 15:16 - “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
- Our purpose flows from being chosen by Christ. He has called us to bear fruit—not as a burden, but as a joy.
- The gospel frees us from chasing worldly purposes and invites us into a God-given mission: to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.
Titus 2:11-12 - “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.”
- Discipline isn’t about proving ourselves to God. It’s about letting His grace shape us.
- Spiritual habits like prayer and Bible study are means of grace—they’re how we stay connected to the One who sustains us.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 - “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.”
- Passion flows from understanding the gospel: that Christ’s love for us changes everything.
Luke 7:47 - “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
- When we grasp the depth of our forgiveness, it ignites a deep love and passion for Christ.
- Passion isn’t about drumming up emotion—it’s about marveling at the beauty of the gospel.
